Apple iPad 2 Plus to offer market-leading high-res screen?
The Apple iPad 2 is already arguably the best tablet on the market, offering loads of fantastic apps to make the most out of the portable design. This hasn’t stopped Apple from refining its tablet, however, with the Apple iPad 2 Plus on the horizon.
The Apple iPad and iPad 2 has been a staggering success, with Apple turning the tablet format from an unwanted technology occasionally used by businesses, into a must-have gadget that everybody seems to love. Not content with resting on its laurels, it looks like Apple is set to release the next generation, dubbed the Apple iPad 2 Plus.
An evolution rather than revolution, the iPad 2 Plus is rumoured to offer a new high-resolution display. With up to 300 pixels per inch (ppi) on offer from the new display, it would bring the iPad more in line with the iPhone 4, which currently offers the sharpest screen available in the mobile phone market.
Other than an update to the display, it looks like the iPad 2 Plus could be all but identical to the outgoing iPad 2. As such, we’d like to hear whether you’ll be upgrading – is it worth it for a sharper screen, or would you rather hang onto your money and current iPad?
